The astounding fact that money management is a fundamental reality for business development struck a chord, as I read through the dynamic case studies of entrepreneurial training. The systems created to manage money and other elements of business development within this book created teachable moments that set a standard for education. Can education incorporate these training systems and improve business growth and opportunities by presenting actionable systems to develop stronger business foundations? Of course, it could.

Standard development of business concepts taught through valid courses in colleges, high schools, and even as apprentice opportunities within the business community could be driving a more profitable foundation of economic growth. I wanted to offer a standing ovation at the conceptual discovery of competitive strategies that generate mutual destruction. Businesses who find mutual benefits and work together to build working relationships are often far more successful than those who compete on every level.

Competition is overplayed in the business community.

Building connected sustainable systems of communication to promote businesses within a community gains far greater outcome success when business leaders realize that they have an area of specialization and other businesses offer greater benefit in similar, yet non-competitive areas of business.

The fundamental reality of business development is that risk-takers who build new business opportunities don’t deserve to be paid well for their efforts. The benefits of becoming a business owner and taking those outstanding risks to put together teams of qualified leaders, skilled workers, designers, and elemental — really fundamental business practices — systems should be BIG cash rewards.

The process of pulling together system management opportunities and building qualified leadership based on those systems grows a diverse transformation of power. The stellar opening for economic development as we consider rebuilding the platforms of business culture after the recent crisis (although it wasn’t mentioned in the book) creates a dynamic opportunity to expand education. By teaching foundational management systems that can apply a common-sense approach to the overall reconstruction of leadership roles improves the options of business leaders. The cultural transformation of these educational opportunities will benefit all business owners.

Advantages?

Darren Dahl

The advantage of reading through a large number of case studies where systems have been applied to a variety of businesses is outcome diversity. The ability to learn from the successful applications of training options opens doors for small business owners. Understanding that certain markets can become saturated with specific businesses encourages new business owners to find something that is growing and making a profit and instead of developing a “like business” finding ways to complement those businesses. A complimentary business doesn’t compete with the success of a solid business, but rather adds another layer of economic value to the community. THIS one element of Change the Game offers a profound insight for small communities.

If for no other reason than to simply understand those small communities can only sustain one Taco Tuesday location and a fish place would be far more successful than building another Taco Tuesday place down the road — this book is profoundly beneficial. I recommend it for anyone getting ready to start a new business or build a business in their community.
